Vacation to the Sand Box

There is no problem that cannot be solved by the use of high explosives.

Well then, so here is what’s up. I won’t be around much come soon. In mid June I’ll be flying home to Missouri, then I’ll go directly to Washington D.C. for about six weeks. I’ll be back in California late July. In August and September I will be doing spin-up training around the country and then I won’t be around from the end of September/early October until March or April of 2009.

Range Demolition

Give me a call if you want to hang out and see if I’ll be around during a certain time-frame.

…in other news I’m getting out of an ORI (Operation Readiness Inspection) and ERI (I don’t remember what E stands for.)

This is new…

I cook with wine, sometimes I even add it to the food.” W. C. Fields (Comic and Actor, 1880-1946)

I’ve just bought a regular (a.k.a small) meal from Jack ‘n the Box. I’ve eaten it, and unbelievably, I’m full! I generally get a medium, sometimes a large, but never finish the large and have to force myself to finish the regular. I mean, I paid or it, I might as well eat it all. Well, not anymore! It’s the small for me! I’m full and I’ve saved a buck!

I’m still lazy and still not writing much. If anything exciting would happen to me I’d be much more likely to have something to write about.

So, I’m lazy.  I’ll write something later.

The Monotony of Not Caring

Education ceases to be learning when the 3 R’s are read, remember, and regurgitate.” — Boston Public

Nerdy Testing

I tested for Staff Sergeant promotion this morning. This year, as last, I didn’t care. I found out my test date a couple months ago. I prepared my study material like any good Airman should; however, it has not moved until this morning. It has not been opened, it has not been viewed. It has in fact collected a nice coating of dust on it’s top cover. This morning I moved the test material to my workplace. It shall remain there in a dark cabinet for the next year, good riddance.

I completed a final last Tuesday. I did not study, I did not prepare, I did not really pay much attention in class. I aced it. It was wonderful. Saturday I have another final. I have read the book, I have paid attention, I don’t reckon I’ll do all to good. There seems to be a pattern with my study habits… when I have good ones, I fail. When I have none at all I do beautifully. It really does make life easy. Other than that I have to complete 4 more quizzes by Thursday and write a ten page paper by Saturday. This is boring, I will procrastinate and it will be good.

On a nerdier note for anyone that WOWs it up, that’s Worlds of Warcraft for my non-nerdy friends, I completed my first Heroic instance tonight. We ran Botanica, I’m told I did splendidly but if I could only work on the hellfire part (when there is mass AoE, Area of Effect, spells being cast I have a small problem keeping the other squishies alive) All in all, great. I am now up to 36 Badges of Honor and we shall be running Karazhan tomorrow night. This will be the first time I get to do the first half. To me, very exciting.

Some adorableness

In order to keep a true perspective of one’s importance, everyone should have a dog that will worship him and a cat that will ignore him.” –Dereke Bruce

Because everyone deserves a bit of delightfully adorable animals every once in a while I thought I would share again. Of course we have Bailey here at his best; being suave and putting Gene Simmons to shame. We also have Baxter, the roomies cat, whom I don’t believe I’ve shown anyone. So, enjoy, take in, and have a wonderful Mother’s Day!
